Driver Updater

I saw that this has already been posted in the past, but I was unable to comment on that post as it is now locked.

I think Norton 360 should have a driver updater tool in conjunction with the software updater tool.  I am glad they added the software updater tool and use it frequently now.  However, I had to turn to Avast for a driver updater tool since Norton doesn't include one.

Re: Driver Updater

There are lots of cool driver updaters and most are absolutely free. I personally use iobit driver updater and satisfied with the free version of course to lift some limitations you will have to consider the paid version.. but here is a working iobit driver updater giveaway which still works https://dealshint.com/giveaway/optimization/iobit-driver-booster-pro-giveaway/

Re: Driver Updater

I am using advanced driver update and it gives notification time by time when my pc driver needs to be updated. It provides 30 days free trial. I have got a guide to choosing this software from here - https://wethegeek.com/best-driver-update-software/

Re: Driver Updater

Thanks for the heads-up Guillaume1024.

I hope it's worth it.

$60 annually for 10 computers is not bad.  If you have 10 computers.  It may be cheaper if it gets to Amazon and other retailers.

I purchased the AVG driver updater from Eneba.com -- 3 licenses for 3 years for approximately $7.

And it has performed perfectly.  I wonder if Norton is better.

I do lean to Norton products I admit -- at least at this time.

But if Norton doesn't start getting top finishes in AV testing again (AV-C, SE Labs) --- I'll abandon Norton.

You can't let the core business decline as you try to build all sorts of other profit centers.

Re: Driver Updater

I expected better from Norton also.  I received a report from Norton after running my typical scans and it stated that I had (12) drivers requiring an update and that I could try Norton Driver Updater for 60 days free and prorated the rest of my subscription.

To be safe, I went to device manager and I checked every single one of my drivers for updates, and then checked with Windows Update to double check another driver update wasn't available for each, in particular the ones Norton called out.

Every single check I completed stated that the "best driver" for each device was "installed" and Windows Update stated every single driver was up to date.

Windows can't be that off...I expected at least some of the drivers Norton reported to be outdated, but not a single one.  Makes me believe Norton is just looking for us to pay for a product that won't actually give us what we expect.  Now this is making me question the Norton Ultimate Utilities I purchased, are all those corrected "errors" really there?
