Hello danpbphoto. I believe the answer to your lingering question MAY be one of the posts from your previous threads. In this thread you stated:

Locking the desktop with Ctrl+L shouldn't cause the VPN to drop unless there is a way it can detect inactivity from the device and close your established connection to free up access to that server for others who are active. Conversely, if you "LOG-OFF" Windows there isn't a user signed into the machine. Once again, Norton may be detecting no activity on the machine thereby dropping the connection. I'm reaching out to a contact at Norton for a definitive answer to a couple of questions on your behalf as well.

On Windows machines, the VPN connection may be disconnected when there is an issue with the VPN server. This includes server maintenance or data center issues. The client should automatically reconnect in these situations.
(Not applicable in your case, but with macOS/iOS clients the VPN connections can be shutdown when the device wants to sleep, go into low-power mode, etc. but the device will automatically reconnect when network traffic is next initiated by the device)
A few other things to consider:
re: disconnections during server maintenance, we perform upgrades and patching somewhat regularly (at least once a week). It is a necessity as addressing security vulnerabilities is an important part of running a VPN network.
Do you find that this disconnection happens every night or once a week? Or perhaps if you walk away for lunch and return you find it disconnected?

Not same issue.. This is while I am still working on line...anyday, everyday...
Even had Tier2 support uninstall and reinstall to latest version.

The assumption is that you are on the "standalone" version of Norton VPN correct? Here is the screenshot from the pdf file you poste. Here is how to post a screenshot directly into your forums posts.

Screenshot was a jpeg file...when uploading Norton error message said only text or pdf file allowed. So I did what Norton asked.
Now Norton just Uninstalled and Installed the older version and the latest version. Standalone? Please define.

Are you using the VPN feature in your NOrton 360 product. Or did you install the separate app Norton Secure VPN? Solutions for each may be different.

The initial screenshot from pdf doesn't indicate a standalone VPN as the only Norton icon present is Norton 360. Again, the procedure for adding screenshots is in this post. Do not use the "attachments" area at the bottom of the reply to post section. That section is reserved for logs, etc. when requested.

If your VPN disconnects frequently and you can’t fix it, switch to a VPN that protects your IP even when you’re changing VPN servers, like Private Internet Access.
