Compromised network or not?

Hi guys,

Norton's 360 app keeps buzzing my phone with this warning: "Your Wi-Fi network is compromised." But then, when I scan the same network with the same app, it concludes, "Network has strong encryption. Network is not compromised."

Any chance it can make up its mind?

Re: Compromised network or not?

Is this on your home network or a public hotspot? If this just started, has there been any change to your network, or apps on your phone?

What device and OS version are you using?

Had this start happening to me as well (Android 13):

Would love to know what Norton is scanning for, and thus what it thinks the actual problem is.

Re: Compromised network or not?

Thanks for the responses, and sorry for the delay.

I have been living in an apartment within a hotel building for almost a year, and I am using their network. I wouldn't know about any changes to the network, and as for my phone, no changes except for app updates from time to time.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy J6, operating on Android 10.

It did occur to the cynic in me that maybe Norton is trying to scare me into purchasing their VPN service. (I already use another VPN.)
