Start-up applications at Logon get flagged by Norton360 even though allowed in config settings

Running Catalina (latest) on MacBookPro.

On Startup/Logon, Norton360/VPN flags several applications attempting to access the internet as part of their startup.  Even though I have marked them as OK in Firewall config settings, and also checked the "ok to allow access" in the pop-up, Norton continually flags them with the pop-up that literally cuts off any other action from completing until the pop-up gets addressed.  And, moments later, the same app gets flagged again, ...  and again.  Aggravating to say the least.
