Password Manager fails to open unlock tab

I have a Windows 11 Intel machine that has been having regular issues with opening Password Manager in Chrome. When you click the Unlock Vault Chrome dropdown a new tab opens briefly and then immediately closes. Sometimes restarting the computer temporarily fixes the problem. Chrome and Norton are up to date. I tried removing and reinstalling the Norton extension. That worked once, but the next time the computer was turned on the problem returned. Any ideas?

Same issue today with both Firefox & Edge. Started today, Password Manager extension auto updated today, coincidental? Apparently, was fist released couple weeks ago.

Same problem in Chrome and Firefox - new tab opens then closes.  Both have started working again (thankfully).  I could access PWDMGR on my iPhone and iPad while not being able to access on the PC.

UK based - yesterday morning, trying to log in to PWM, did get to the log in page but just showed the revolving 'waiting' ring - never got to actual log-in page. Normally infers you are reaching Norton but must be using Sinclair Spectrum as server. Then sometimes you could open, shortly after not, Logged out of account, tried to log back in but during process in just froze and could not log back in. After a few tries did manage to login to account then to vault. Lasted a while then came up with errors again. That infers that they had then switched off the Spectrum , no server available, hence error. Checking thru' a bit later, the PWM extension, showed in Firefox that it had been updated on the 25th, yesterday, either then a server problem or error in extension.

So far to day, both browsers PWM working as it should.

My issue is similar. I am able to open the password manager tab. However, am unable to input my complete password and am thus unable to open my vault in Chrome. This is crazy. I completely uninstalled Chrome and then reinstalled it only to receive the same errors.

Very strange. I assume after re-installing Chrome, you would have had to sign-into your Account first before being able to access your Vault password page. Clicking on toolbar icon brings down 'Unlock Vault', at bottom should say 'Signed In AS xyz'. That then takes to you to vault log-in page. Are you saying you can reach this page, can enter part of your password but it will not allow the entire number of characters to be entered? I have Chrome on an old 8.1 laptop (no longer MS supported nor Chrome supported), use as a stand-by computer so only boot every few days. After the problem had been resolved at Norton's end, tried laptop & was able to access vault as normal, I use an eleven character password. Our problem originally was that could not access vault password log-in page, came up with error message, probably server down. Have you tried to disable extension then re-enabling, signing out of your account then re-signing in (seems to take you thru a different route), finally removing extension then re-installing. Edge & fire Firefox both have their optional extension pages - not sure if Chrome has same. Edge, Firefox & Chrome all seem to be working for me.
