Disable Auto-Protect greyed out even after RnR

Hi,

After restored my PC to a new HDD, I've noticed the Disable Auto-Protect option been greyed out.

I've tried to reboot the PC multiple times and even tried the last resort of RnR, but still without success.

Can you please help me to solve this?

Thanks

Re: Disable Auto-Protect greyed out even after RnR

FWIW!! This also happened with one of my Windows 10 computers last week. My solution was two separate reboots to clear the issue. My silent question was, what had changed the settings in the first place where a restart would be required? I have not determined what that was as there isn't anything in Norton history that suggests an update appeared where a restart would be required.

Have you also ran live updates since your reinstall and what version of Norton is currently running?

The only suggestion I have is to disable fast startup and reboot to see if that clears things. Here is how:

Re: Disable Auto-Protect greyed out even after RnR

Hi,

I've run Live Update immediately after the reinstall and have the latest version of Norton 22.23.4.6.

The fast startup has been disabled for a while on my PC -
