Norton Driver Updater "Scanning n of 81 drivers" "Has scanned 63 drivers" Why the different numbers?

Hello,

I would like to know why Norton Driver Updater states one number when scanning the drivers and then state another number of scanned drivers. In this case while scanning the number of drivers is 81 and after it state 63 drivers have been scanned. Why? What are the case of the remaining 18 drivers? I cannot find them in the overview.

Hi, in the first scan 81 devices were detected on your system, our software analyzed them, sorted out duplicates and then 63 unique devices were displayed.

Okay. It does this every time it scans, is there a way to fix that?

Hi, the behavior of the software is absolutely correct and not an error. Duplicates remain duplicates - even if the scan is repeated three days later. :)

Good to know. Last thing, I know it is off-topic, but does Norton AntiVirus Plus scan the device drivers on the computer for malware like Trojan horses? It is just a while ago I received an email that stated the person had a trojan driver on my pc and wanted me to pay them in bitcoins, I deleted the email as I considered it a scam, but it made me worried.

Please ask this question in the forum for "Norton AntiVirus Plus". Basically, all drivers we deliver are tested multiple times.
