Norton family is not allowing time extension on my child’s laptop. Also the pin function to override is also not working.

The laptop just keeps saying “your time is up” He has requested more time and I have granted it but nothing is happening. I have tried to enter the pin and it keeps returning “invalid pin” His laptop is unusable and therefore can’t access his files to do his homework. He has installed protonvpn could this be having any impact on it?

I have even turned off the time supervision completely and still the computer is time locked.

Hi Andrewpb,

Applications like ProtonVPN may interfere with Norton Family product reaching out to the servers.

Please try the following steps to see if Norton Family is working as expected-
1. Turn off ProtonVPN.
2. Restart the sytem.
3. please try updating the house rules from Norton Family TrayIcon. Right Click on "Norton Family" TrayIcon and choose "Update House Rules".
