Random Regrade to N360 / 22.23.5.106 from NS / 22.23.5.106

Sharing.

Finalising updating my 14yo (extremely slow, Intel Atom, x86, 32bit) netbook; I hit 'liveupdate'. After an extraordinary passage of time, and several more updates, I possess N360. NS is no more.
N360, has finally put the machine into a terminal, end-of-life spiral. Probably, going to beat MS EOL 10/25. Crunching data, the machine has slowed to the level of a 'watermill-in-a-drought'.
Luckily or not, I've a couple of 64bit machines that remain NS, for now. I've Macrium Image both.
Any info on forced regrade, would be appreciated.

Against my better judgement, I 'removed only' the product. I reloaded NS 22.23.5.106. I had to access My Account, and delete the licence; so as to register the product, as a new licence. A Morse Code Newbie with an Aldis Lamp could pass data quicker than this machine. I'm halfway through a 350-page book in 1-day, filling in the 'crunch-time' between activities. Why do I keep the machine going; it's my experiments machine: which I've crashed on several occasions; why waste a daily driver, when this sucker exists.
NS 22.23.5.106 is installed and functioning OK, according to 'Get Support.' Logged in both ends, all in sync, displaying correctly. The original speed is restored. It proves to me that, N360 is too much for light-weight machines. PEACE IS RESTORED !
What next, a full clean-out, Revo, defrag, Macrium: I'll probably finish the highly recommended book
( ISBN 978-1-78503-395-7 ).
Don't let your machine become a 'Train-Wreck '.

As far as I know an upgrade cannot be reversed.
You could try re-install Norton Security via direct link: norton.com/latestns

First of all remove only w NRNR

Also check first if the PC gets faster after the un-install

After several manual liveupdates; I've not seen N360 22.23.8.4
My only concern is getting billed for 2x products; where previously, I only had 1x product with 5-licences.
It also throws up a side issue. My ISP offers FREE N360 with my package. I've baulked at a full 3x machine change-over, as N360 has far too many toys, that are no use to me at all. If I put 3x machines over to N360; it's going to be FREE N360, and Norton get no money at all.

I'm not a great believer in reloading the product; only as a final choice; certainly, not as an initial choice. Pay-day isn't 'til Feb/2024. Plenty of time to let it pan out.

What I didn't do, was punt through Windows Explorer and the Directory deleting all the references to Norton / Symantec, and Uncle Tom Cobley Et Al.
I'D HAVE HAD TO BUY ANOTHER BOOK !

What Windows version are you running? There were some issues with Win 7 and 8 that had the release halted for those OS versions. Not sure if they have been resolved yet.

My laptop running 8.1 initially had 22.23.8.4 MUI files, ran LUD couple of times but did not install update so assumed same issues as 7. Less than a week later, tried again, 'patch available', checked history, first LUD of day had downloaded engine, and I assume, installed. Restart showed had 22.23.8.4 running, seen no announcement from Norton saying issue solved for 7, assuming as Windows 7 &  8.1 held back & 8.1 now working, Windows 7 likewise.
