Re: Driver Updater

Hello. Here are some FAQ's regarding Norton Utilities.

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v202305221716...

Unfortunately you cannot just remove DU but need to disable it. Driver Updater is NOT a mature product as it currently is, the recommendation is DON'T use it. Not all products are supported by DU as is referenced in the article liked previously. Here is how to disable DU:

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v138894743

Turn off Software Updater

If you do not want your Norton product to scan for outdated programs, you can turn off the Software Updater feature. However, you can turn it on at any time.

The change takes effect only from the next Software Updater scan. If a scan or update task is in progress, your change will not cancel the ongoing task.

  1. Open your Norton device security product.
  2. In the My Norton window, in the center pane, click the settings  icon > Software Updater.
  3. In the Software Updater settings window, slide the switch next to Software Updater to off.

Re: Driver Updater

@globus5000 Please have a close look at the screenshot the OP provided. It IS indeed Driver Updater as shown in the bottom right of the image:

Re: Driver Updater

The OP is posting in the Norton Utilities board as shown, for an issue with a feature within that software. They should clarify whether they have NU or N360 and seeing this issue. The screenshot shows a pop-up related to Driver Updater indeed. I'm trying to have them clarify what Norton product is installed. IF, they are using N360, seeing this notification from that suite, they should disable DU to stop the issues where bad information is being presented.

To cancel the DU subscription entirely the OP will need to contact support:

Thanks for your keen eye.
