Pulse Updates and Automatic Norton LiveUpdate

Would like to see this: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Pulse-Updates-and-Automatic-Norton-LiveUpdate/td-p/213052.

I would like to know who's idea it was when you turn off Automatic LiveUpdate that the Pulse Updates gets greyed out.  When one Turns Off Automatic LiveUpdate, one should still get Pulse Updates.  I would like to see this sorted in Norton 2010 Products, and/or in Norton 2011. I have Automatic Norton LiveUpdate "Off", and yet can't get the benefit of Pulse Updates.

[edit: please include the actual idea in the idea post.]

Re: Pulse Updates and Automatic Norton LiveUpdate

This would be an excellent option for users who wish to Turn Off Automatic Norton LiveUpdate, but may wish to keep Pulse Updates On, so users who wish to do this will still get the minute-by-minute Norton Pulse Updates.  I would like to point out that in the Background Tasks, Pulse Updates and Automatic LiveUpdate are listed as different Tasks, so in the Settings this should also be the case, i.e. Automatic LiveUpdate and Pulse Updates are not connected.  I have seen quite a number of users who do not want Automatic LiveUpdate On due to the fact they want to have the control of when they want to install Updates but may want to have Pulse Updates on but cannot because Automatic LiveUpdate and Pulse Updates Settings are connected so once you have Automatic LiveUpdate "Off", Pulse Updates are greyed out.
