CPU Usage meter on front of User Interface

I like this feature in NIS 2010, but noticed that NIS/NAV2011 beta, do not have this on their user interface. I found it very convenient to look at how much CPU was being used and how much of that Norton was using. This may have already been suggested though.

You can still view the impact on the CPU from the Performance (System Insight) screen. Would this cover your request?

I guess it would, but I just liked being able to view it on the front of the interface for conveinience purposes. But hey if they don't do that, its no big dealm like you said, we can still check CPU usage on the flip side of the interface,.

I totally agree with a cpu usage meter, (but if you loose performance in the Norton 2011 than not..)

I really liked the CPU meter also on the front of 2010 NIS, it was just a nice reminder to anyone who sees it,  that Norton is no longer the "resource hog" of days of old.

they may not be able to do it since they have the activity map on the GUI now. Probably is not enough room to put a CPU meter on there without it looking squished

I would like to see it on the front of the GUI also for 2011.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 2004 N 360 22.20.5.39 Chrome latest version.

Yeah... not for the 2011 launch but we will look into it for a future release.

The CPU meter also proved to be an excellent diagnostic tool, in that slow downs or high CPU usage could actually be tied to the specific program or types of files causing it.  The CPU meter in Performance is an after the fact product, too small and without the measurement indicators to make it in any way useful.

Even if it was nothing more than the filenames and CPU usage as the scanning was in progress, it would be of considerable more use than the marketing buttons, or if they had to remain, could fit in the slot beside the buttons under the map.

CPU meter in performance tab already shows how much % cpu is used by Norton or other programs.
