Freeware version of Norton 2011

Create a free version of Norton Anti virus/Internet Security with limited options. For example, the version without a pulse updates,Norton community...etc.  but with manually downloading and checking for anti-virus definitions like MBAM`s users can do.

You can already get a free AV checking tool called Power Eraser from the support pages of the Synantec Web Site

Yes but pleasure to have (real, not a tool) a free program from software giant like Symantec is enormous.

MBAM is not better than Symantec solutions in any way but takes a fairly large market share due to the fact  "MBAM is free security software". I think Symantec has capacity and can do it  very well.

To be honest, MBAM is half product but can be used quite successfully for removing therats.
