Windows Activation Technologies Service in NIS history.

Hello. Earlier tonight I noticed a message in Norton's history that said "You created firewall rules to manage how Windows Activation Technologies Service accesses your network resources." This happened while no one was logged on. Is this cause for alarm? Thanks!

Re: Windows Activation Technologies Service in NIS history.

No cause for alarm.  When the firewall says "you created rules," in most cases it means it created rules.  Remember, this is a Smart Firewall which queries databases and other Norton components so that it can make the network access decisions for you.  It knows that the Windows Activation Technologies Service is legitimate, and that its request for internet access is not a malicious action.
