My Credit Card HAD expired in due time and it IS now automatically renewed and VALID... But ...

I am a devoted and very satisfied Norton Internet Security customer from 2008 (a NAV customer from 2006) and the reason is that Norton Products never failed me!

Nowadays I got a new PC, a desktop (thanks in advance for your best wishes!) and I will install NIS2011 as soon as possible; that's why I visited my Norton Account and everything was fixed in due time ... with one exception.

"Action required: Your credit card has expired. Please update your credit card information now."

Well, I am the proud owner of a MasterCard that had expired a few months ago and it has been replaced -in due time and properly, that is automatically- by another MasterCard with the same Card Number of course (the back-side extra three digits have been replaced but this isn't the issue "here"...) and -to my best knowledge- my new credit card is fully valid from every aspect: no problems at all, transactions are processed normally.

Thus I'm trying to update my credit card's information but ... "Cannot authorize credit card": this is written quite a few times in the Card Number Field though I do insert correctly my Card's very Number.

What can I do in order to fix this "Action required. Your credit card has expired..." issue?

Shall I be able to install NIS2011 (the product expires next summer for me) in the new desktop?

Thanks in advance!

Hello cunctatorg

Thanks

If your NIS 2011 is for 3 pc's, then  you can add NIS 2011 in your new computer by following these steps.

1. Please download NIS 2011 from this link and save to desktop.

http://www.norton.com/nis11
2. If there are any free trial secuirty programs on the new computer, they will have to be thoroughly removed by using the control panel method and rebooting and the use of the other company's removal tool

3. Please visit www.mynortonaccount.com to get you key from the site.

4. Please install NIS 2011 from the link above and insert the key where it says renew on it.

5.Please run live update until you get all the updates for it.

I would like to inform you that with a valid subscription for NIS 2011, you are entitled to a free upgrade to NIS 2012.

If you want to do this, you can install NIS 2012 on top of NIS 2011 if you are not having any problems with the products. As a precaution, I would back up your identity safe file if you use that feature of the program and enter your same key if it isn't already picked up.

Hi Cuntatorg,

Welcome to Norton Community,

Small clarification needed from your side.. Have you updated your Expiry month and year in nortonaccount? . This could be one of the reason. As you mentioned, you have changed only CVV number there.

Can you check whether you have changed Expiry month and year since it is a new card with different expiry month and year.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Senthil.
