Sweetpacks by Perion Network Ltd.

I have been hi-jacked by Sweet Packs by Perion Network Ltd.  I have tried the normal uninstall procedures bu to no avail.  I hesitate to use any of the suggested sites/remedies on line.   Does anybody have an answer to this invasion?  Please

Re: Sweetpacks by Perion Network Ltd.

God I hate the scumbags who make these programs.  And they masquerade as legitimate business.  Check "Perion", the new owners of this scam.

Anyway, it's easily enough removed if you have some experience.  You have to run Adwcleaner, Malwarebytes, and then manually reset all browsers to their default settings.  It's a good idea to rerun Adwcleaner afterwards and then to make sure with Hitmanpro.  All software used is free.  Finally a registry cleaning with Ccleaner (also free)  is a good idea.   Be sure to download from legitimate sites!  And even on some of those, there are misleading links to "downloaders" to be cautious about.  What a world!

Detailed instructions are here http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-sweetpacks-toolbar/

and they worked for me just this morning.  Of course I wasted a couple of hours because of the morons who create this garbage.  And unfortunately, I do not know where my friend acquired the infection nor does she.

I think there should be a class action lawsuit against this travesty of a company.  They were just purchased for $10 million+.  Both the original and the new companies badly need to be sued.  They inconvenience millions of people for money.  They are a bunch of gross buffoons and I'll be delighted to debate them anywhere about their so-called business model which should be a crime.  It would be if law makers had any guts.
