i have google chrome 64 bit my toolbar updated but is not working????

so i have google chrome 64 bit version  37.0.2062,124 m and my toolbar came back today and is version Norton Security Toolbar 2014.7.8.23 but it is not working i have norton from comcast why is my toolbar just sitting there and not working, i been waiting for it to come back and it is back but is not working. please tell me how to fix it or am i still going to have to go back to google chrome 32 bit to have a working toolbar, it makes no since to me it comes back today but does not work??. what is going on does it not work with norton from comcast if so why release this to us?.

I downloaded the new one from the website and yet there's no green light coming from it.

don't think its a delay i stayed logged into a web page it usually shows green on for 1 hour and no go did that just to see if it was a delay in processing.

Mine doesn't show that. I downloaded it, the three parts are activated, and yet it doesn't show up at all. The other weird that is that on my Norton Identity safe configure options, it says the extension has been 'disabled'. Unless I need to run Live Update again.

ugh i thought it only plagued the 64 bit version but it does not it also is updated on my 32 bit chrome on my other pc and is not working there same issue Norton please fix this Please.

Ditto here.  My toolbar extension is showing the new update #, and the toolbar no longer responds to anything.  If clicked nothing happens, no sign ins are occurring while signed into Identity Safe through Norton, and have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both the toolbar/identity safe and Chrome to no avail.  32 bit Chrome here.

Really getting upset with Norton!  I have been a continual user of Norton products since Norton Commander for DOS!  This security toolbar, and the constant issues with that and Vault is driving me nuts!  I really like securty and the password vault, WHEN THEY WORK!!!  Come on Symantic/Norton, get your act together with Chrome! 

Using Win7, 64bit, and Chrome browser.

I mostly blame Chrome. I've rarely had problems with Norton, but when it comes to the toolbar and Chrome, there's always a problem. I mostly say it's because Chrome keeps updating their system every time, thus causing some errors with the tool bar.

Hi All,

Could you run Live update manually until it shows "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates" and reboot if required. 

Product version of NIS/N360 will be 21.6.0.32

I have NIS.6.0.32, using Chrome ver 37.0.2062.124 m.  I have updated until it says no more updates available, still NO TOOLBAR!  This is getting ridiculous.  I have 52 days left on my NIS, I will not renew it if this crap does not stop!  I have been a continual user of Norton products since Norton Commander for DOS.  Hate to see it end because of incompetence taking over at Norton/Symantec.  I have been using the Identity Safe Password manager for a while now, and like it WHEN IT WORKS!  Without the toolbar, even if I start vault manually, it does not auto fill my passwords.  Very frustrated now.

The problem is most definitely the last update to the toolbar from Norton's.  The non-working version is 2014.7.8.23.

For some reason, a family member's toolbar is still completely functioning.  Apparently Norton's hasn't updated hers yet.  Her version of the toolbar is 2014.7.6.17.

When I go into "Norton Security" by clicking "Identity", then "Identity Safe, then click the gear symbol it says "Google Chrome:  Extension not installed.  But when I open up Google Chrome 64 bit (Version 37.0.2062.124m 64 bit) and go to "Extensions" it shows that "Norton Identity Safe", "Norton Safe Search as default for Chrome", and "Norton Security Toolbar" are all ENABLED.

I cannot even get the Norton Toolbar thing to show up underneath the Google Chrome 64 bit "Bookmarks bar" where it has "Vault is Open/Closed" and so forth.  When I go to a website that is supposed to fill in my username/password it doesn't work at all on any of the websites where it is supposed to.

I have done ALL of the latest "Live Update" downloads.  I have these installed in Google Chrome 64 bit right now ... Norton Identity Safe 1.0.5, Norton Safe Search as default for Chrome 1.0.9, and Norton Security Toolbar 2015.0.0.76

When is all of this going to be fixed?  Somebody at Symantec should at least reply to us to let us know that someone is working on it and give us an estimate about when the fix will be available!

Does anyone who works for Symantec ever actually answer the questions on these posts?  Why should us customers bother posting in this forum if we cannot even get an answer from somebody at Symantec who can call people and get answers?

Yes i would like to know myself i got the new toolbar but the stupid thing don't work not even on chrome 32 bit so what gives?? when will be fixed this is not right if they pushed a toolbar out for all even the people from comcast that can not update to this new norton and now it has broken it even on my 32 bit chrome that was working till they updated it.

Just thought I would post an update of my experiences with this issue in case it may help others.

I had been trying to download the latest N360 update to 21.6.0.32 but had failed when suddenly the toolbar seemed to stop working.  I checked it and noticed that the icon associated with the toolbar had changed and it said it was version 2014.7.8.25.  However that obviously did not work,  So I opened N360 again and told it to check for updates, and this time it found the latest N360 update and downloaded it.  There was an issue when it did not recognise that Chrome had been closed but I rebooted and now all seems well.  I have N360 21.6.0.32 and the toolbar 2014.7.8.25.  

I hope the rest of you have also now found relief from this problem.

The really good news for me was that this update to the toolbar appears to have solved a serious problem I was having with these forums where links were not working properly.  So personally, I am doubly happy.

well, the notice did say version 2014.7.8.23 or higher

Contact Comcast Support for help with Norton?  Seriously?  They cannot even assist people with problems with Comcast.  The one time I asked for support with Norton, their alleged support said that it is not their problem, even though they offer it as part of their package.

Comcast merely offers Norton as a incentive to sign up, even though they have little competition.  In the Chicago area, ATT U Verse offers McAfee for the same reason. If you have problems, you are on your own.  It is obvious from reading the forums for both Norton and Comcast, that they are both incompetent when it comes to creating fixes for the myriad of problems that their customers experience.  

As one of the Comcast alleged Customer Service Reps said to me about Norton, "It is free for you, so what do you want?"

Took all of 5 min.  Chat with Norton Support.   Chrome 64bit is not Supported because of issues with the Toolbar.

really well then nether is chrome 32 bit its broken with it as well as it also has this new toolbar update and is not working at all so they are not support any of them then huh?  its a toolbar issue nothing more nothing else is what i believe, as it updated like i said on my windows 7 with 32 bit chrome and does the same thing not working. I think they broke the toolbar for allot of people that do not have the new norton i think the toolbar goes with the new norton and they broke it. go look at all the comments on the toolbar chrome page and you will see allot of people have the issue with 32 bit or 64 bit. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/norton-security-toolbar/mkfokf...

Just spent time with Chat Support.  Support recommends all users stay with Chrome 32bit at this time.  Despite updates.  Engineers are still working on issues that reoccur.  All users meaning v21 and v22

i had a support rep connected to both of my computers today from the norton 800 number support it is broken for both it makes no difference what version of chrome you have the guy remotely connected to both my computers not at same time of course and said he he will send it up to lead techs and have the issue corrected, he did say it was suppose to be fixed for 64 bit and 32 bit with the role out of version   2014.7.8.25, but confirmed that it's broken for both chrome 32 bit and 64 bit at this time. he said you can use Norton Safe Search as default for Chrome 1.0.9, and that does work if you want to switch your search engine to that till they fix it.   I was on the phone and he was connected to both computers for about a half hour trying to fix it The rep was very nice and said he will be reporting the issue. said this in other post as well it is confirmed broken in 32 bit and 64 bit.
