Extracting ourselves from the Cable Dementors who are stealing our joy!

This is a how to AND wanting to know if Norton Core can be a part of the solution.

We current use a Verizon Quantum router and have service that is now taken over by Frontier (blech!) We also have Amazon Prime & Netflix subscriptions.

We want to find a Patronum to scatter the Dementors -- i.e. we want to get rid of our cable company totally.

The plan is to keep Netflix & Prime and to stream the remainder that we would normally watch on TV. So........

How do we accomplish this task (in general and with as many specifics as possible).

And specifically, can this new Norton Core router be used as part of how we achieve riddance of the Cable Company who will not be named. (Oh, I already named it :D )

The only thing you will have to do is choose an ISP to provide your internet service. Then use the Core device connected to their modem to supply the feed to your devices.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I am a PC person a lot more than I am a mobile person. I understand that I will have to control this Core device from my Droid. But other than setup, there should not be a whole lot more interaction needed between the Core device and my Droid, right?

Ideally, like any other router, once set up properly, you should not have to go to the setup pages very often.
