SPAM filtering is not enabled, but...

Hello. I have a question regarding Norton's spam filtering. I have never enabled this option in Norton Security, as I get by quite well with Gmail's filtering. But when I was checking out a specific email, I noticed in the body of message there is Symantec with X-Brightmail on a few lines looking at the message as source. I would like to know why my mail is getting filtered when spam filtering has always been disabled, and this has been double checked many times. I also get the feeling that Norton Security while using spam filtering is able to keep data on emails since its filtered and could be part of their telemetry grab. Thanks

Re: SPAM filtering is not enabled, but...

Norton Anti Spam just puts a Spam notice at the end of the subject line for emails it feels are spam. It does not add anything to the body of an email.

What you are seeing may have something to do with the sender's email scanning software.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
