Norton Security iOS Login Issues

I recently received an email stating that I was eligible to use Norton Security for iOS (presumably via my Norton Core subscription). I was able to download the application, but it does not seem to like my credentials. After entering my username and password, I am prompted to authenticate with my Symantec VIP app. After accepting the push notification, I am redirected back to the "Get Started" page without any indication what went wrong. 

Anyone else having this issue?

The product is so new, that yours is the first feedback I have seen on it.

First try restarting your device.

If you still cannot activate it, it may have something to do with the troubles some users were having renewing their NS Core subscription. I would try contacting Norton Support to see if they can shed some light on your issue.    www.norton.com/contactcs

Forgot to ask what device are you using and what iOS version?

I had the same issue.  Chat support first had no idea this iOS app existed, then told me to wait 24 hours (seems to be a standard response) and try again.  Said they would call me to check on status.  Still doesn't work... no call back.  I hope Norton gets their act together soon... Don't even get me started on their Password Manager no syncing to iOS....

I just ran into this same problem - Nov 13th.  Looks like it has been weeks since it was reported and verified as an issue.  Any updates?  Maybe pull it down from App Store and your site till get it working.....

Similar situation. For me, the Norton Security iOS app works well when I installed as a trial premium Norton security account. Now I have active Norton Security account with partners and does not open. My notification is “no license”. Any update? Thanks

Hi peterweb, I have available activations. I installed this app from Apple store because from my Norton account it doesn’t appear. I install it in other device and don’t work it yet. Also, I restart my device and install it again and the same result.

We need to wait to hear what bwoirhaye has to say. It sounds like some kind of issue with Norton subscription servers for mobile products.

I see the posting that the issue is resolved.  Not for me.  Tried it again as requested.  It presents the log-in screen.  Accepts my ID and password.  Lands me on a page that says "Get Started" at the bottom and "Welcome to Norton Security" at the top.  Click the "Get Started" button and it loops back to the log-in screen requesting user ID and password again.  Loops and loops at this step.  No way presented to move forward.  No explicit error message returned.

Error presents on both a new iPad Pro and an iPhone 7 - both on latest iOS.

Thank you for your help. In my case, the situation doesn't change. I install again it from Apple Store with the same message ”no license”. Maybe is a particular case for me.

Unfortunately, the problem persists... uninstalled and reinstalled app, entered username and password, prompted for and accepted VIP authentication, back to "Getting Started" screen. :(

I was able to successfully authenticate this morning; if you haven't tried yet today and your symptom was similar to mine, you might be pleasantly surprised. :)

The product looks to be a rebranded version of the SEP Mobile client. Overall a very nice addition for those of us who are Norton Core subscribers (and just in time too as my subscription is about to expire).
