iOS apps just not working

I have a Norton Core Security Plus subscription and with it Norton Security and Password Manager.  Both work fine on Mac OS, but I just can't them to work on iOS (iPhone or iPad).  Norton Security just won't log in... keeps popping back to the login screen.  Password Manager... nothing Syncs to the phone.  Maybe Symantec needs to hire iOS developers.  Did they even test these before releasing them to the public?

Re: iOS apps just not working

Your issue with the new Norton Security for iOS is a known issue as noted by a Norton employee in this post

For syncing your Password Manager. Open the app and sign into your Norton Account and then into the Vault. Tap on Logins, and when the list of logins is displayed, pull down on that list to sync your device with the logins in the cloud.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

The user many have posted here because their Core Security Plus software subscription is used to activate the new Norton Security for iOS product. And there was another user that had an issue with the Core software subscription. https://community.norton.com/en/forums/core-security-plus-key-canceled

Re: iOS apps just not working

I wanted to test to see if it would sync from iOS to Vault.  I added dummy login on the iOS app... in 3 seconds all passwords from the vault synced down to iOS.  The key... initiating a sync from iOS.

Re: iOS apps just not working

And did you try it the other way around, by creating a new login on a non iOS device, then using the suggestion I made in the post above to sync the iOS app info.  https://community.norton.com/en/comment/8026151#comment-8026151

I have been able to duplicate the iOS version of Norton Password Manager not syncing with your online vault. I'll escalate this for you.

For the Norton Security not getting logged into your account. Is it in fact the new Norton Security for iOS, or the older Norton Mobile Security app you are trying to activate? Have you been able to sign in yet?

Not sure this would help as this is an issue with the iOS version of Norton Password Manager, NPM, and logging into subscription servers to activate a mobile product.

When you created the new login from a device that is not your iOS device, did you happen to use a number for the name? That is what I did  when I tested creating the login from my Chrome browser on my Win 10 laptop, and it showed up immediately in the browser. When I logged in from my iOS device, I could not see the new login.

What I just discovered is that the numeric named logins show up at the top of the list in Windows versions, but at the bottom of the list on my iOS device. So while I thought I was seeing the issue you reported, it appears the sync is working correctly on my phone.

@izenmike

Are you still seeing the vault sync issue on iOS? If so, another user found that signing out of the Norton Account in Norton Password Manager on their iOS device seems to fix that. Could you try and let us know what happens for you.

Just checking to see if you are you still seeing the vault sync issue on iOS? And also checking to see if you saw my explanation of what I was seeing when I thought my device was not syncing?
