Norton Internet Security 2009: Norton Product Tamper Protection Messages

Can symantec give us all List of the types of Messages we get from N.P.T.P. and what it means/does.  For example, Open Process and Assign Process To Job Object.  And why does it not Block it if it registers with N.P.T.P., i.e. Open Process?  Can symantec tell us what these do and list the others and explain what it means and does.  Thanks!!

Re: Norton Internet Security 2009: Norton Product Tamper Protection Messages

Floating_Red,

I've wondered about NPTP messages also.  According to NIS Help,  Norton Product Tamper Protection "lets you protect your Norton product from an attack or modification by unknown, suspicious, or threatening applications".

The other day, I ran System Restore just to make sure that it "plays well" with NIS. It ran successfully, but NPTP logged a "Medium Risk Level" message with "No Action Required".

So, I  ran Norton Insight and checked System Restore (rstrui.exe). It's rated "5-Star Norton Trusted".  Why is a 5-Star Trusted program "unknown, suspicious or threatening" and "medium risk" in NPTP Security History?
