Get support Norton 360

Hi Guys.

Just a random question here

I opened up Norton and went to the get support part of it I'm not sure why I did this I just felt like it!

I clicked it the other day and it said it repaired my installation?

I haven't noticed anything wrong with Norton at all so why would it want to fix that?

A second a go I got a random notification saying that a quick scan was complete even though I did a full system scan about 30 mins before. I've had this notfication before so I'm not worried.

Anyway. I went to the get support again today after the notifaction and it said it had fixed my installation again!!

What does this mean? I ran it afterwards and then it said Norton couldn't find any problems.

I'm not too worried about this but may I have to run the reinstall tool?

Thanks a lot!!

Regards.

Re: Get support Norton 360

Hi AudiA1,
Nothing to worry. Its an ongoing issue with the latest updates which changed NVP (Norton Vulnerablity Protection) to a plugin less one. Ie, no more plugin for it.

Re: Get support Norton 360

Hi Guys

Thanks for the info

I'll bare this in mind untill an update comes out!

The quick scan notfication saying it's removed cookies keeps coming up though!

I think it's replacing the idle timer because I've left my computer then moved my mouse and it's come up, and it's only come up after doing a full system scan today so I'm sure everythings fine.

Thanks a lot for your quick replies both of you!

Have a good day!

fwiw

You can go to Custom Scan and use the pencil to edit cookie options for Full / Quick scans.

I use SpywareBlaster <link> to block most tracking cookies.

Just adds a list of blacklisted cookies to your browser Privacy Tab

It's free and only needs an update check maybe once a month

I also block third party cookies.
