Nvidia in some hot water regarding LHR cards

For those of you that don't know, LHR (LHR, short for "Lite Hash Rate,") graphics cards are hardware that is specifically designed to be "bad" at crypto mining, including Norton's. This was done to make video cards more available to those who actually want to game on them, as intended. (Those complaining about poor performance with mining with one of those cards likely wouldn't even have it, if it wasn't one. Anyway...)

I saw an article today about some extortionists who stole Nvidia's source code, and are demanding Nvidia make those cards better at mining. Here's a link.   https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2022/03/cybercriminals-wh...

Its worse than that. Signed certificates are now being used to deploy fake drivers.

As a side note, anybody downloading drivers from a third party, probably shouldn't be the one installing the drivers in the first place.
