Norton Stole Wallet Balance on Downgrade

I had Norton with LifeLock advantage and I won't bore you with the story of how this was a complete pain to downgrade since they can only do it over the phone. I was told all my info and such would remain the same after asking however after being told it would be the same and renewing via purchase on the website vs. phone since support was more $? My entire account settings besides my passwords which I exported anyways were blanked out including my wallet of crypto I had mined for over a year now. I specifically asked this before anything or I would have moved it. Now they say that they cannot do anything. It's theft plain and simple since that money is there still but not associated with my account. They state they cannot put it on my account and offered me 30 days more of my subscription. How about a year for not only wasting my time redoing all the things I was told I did not but the crypto taken. PSA withdraw and export anything before renewing each time.

Anthony we will get this sorted out. Can u send me a direct message with your original email address used for your account prior to the downgrade. Also the new account that you now have. I will have the team figure this out.

Re: Norton Stole Wallet Balance on Downgrade

I suspect these situations are exactly why Norton added crypto mining in the first place. Most people will never generate enough for it to be worth it. All that crypto dust will eventually get eaten up by Norton themselves. Complete scam.

You should consider forwarding this info to the BBB

Re: Norton Stole Wallet Balance on Downgrade

@BabyFarqs, for the record, we did figure out what happened to the original poster and cleared everything up. During his downgrade, our support agent mistakenly created a new account. However, the original account did have his wallet. We sorted the entire thing out and were able to get him back up and running.

I can assure you we did not create Norton Crypto to collect "crypto dust," as you claim above. It is an entirely opt-in feature, and you have the ability not to use it if you choose. There are many successful miners in our Norton Community.
