CPU problems with fan, symantec.mes.systemextension (78628)

Ive tried to go through the threads as its been mentioned but following the discussion is difficult.   The fan on my mac air is going on very frequently, when I look at the Cpu.  symantec.mes.systemextension (78628). is around 80%.   Im sure its causing the fan to come on far much.

Whats the fix for this please,  it getting to be a frequent event I think I should sort out,     thank you.

Hello,

I also submitted a forum topic on this issue.  It appears to be related to Norton scans but the issue is not totally resolved yet.  If you want to see this related forum search for forum titled:

"com.symantec.mes.systemextension still uses Hi CPU after complete uninstall/reinstall"

Currently the Norton technical team is assisting me in isolating and resolving this.  Stay tuned.
