iOS NPM app will not connect to server while on wifi

Trying NPM before getting something different. 

Installed on NPM on iOS 16.1.1. When connected to wifi I always get the message Error while communicating with server. When I turn the wifi off and connect to 5G/LTE then it will connect.

Why will it not connect when on wifi? I do not have any VPNs set up

Do you also have Norton 360 installed on your phone? If so, you do have a VPN on that device. 

Are you connecting to your home wifi, or a public hotspot? If a public hotspot, the VPN feature of 360 could be getting turned on automatically. Which could be interfering with the NPM access.

Home wifi. VPN is disabled. NPM still only connects while on celluar. Once I connect it seems to stay connected when switching back to wifi. Still an annoyance to turn everything off just to get NPM to connect initally

One thing to check is turning off the Safe Web feature in Security > Internet Security section of 360. Then see if you still have a connection issue on wifi.
