STATUS UPDATE POP UPS OVER MY WORK AREA, STOP IT.

I can't use my programs that need access to the lower left corner because norton keep poping up a status update in that area. I've tried X on it, I've tried "don't show me again". I can't get around these work blocking pop ups. If Norton insists on keeping these, with no way to stop them, I will need to change out of norton. My automatic renewal is already stopped, so fix it.
