Slow internet, computer freezing

Windows 10 with Norton 360 with VPN on seems to cause my computer Internet to greatly slow down and/or freeze all the time. Any ideas how to solve this?

Genrally, the Norton VPN feature does not slow a connection appreciably. Unfortunately, there are a few users here that are seeing drastic speed reductions that we have not been able to diagnose.

Have you done speed tests to quantify how much of a reduction you are seeing? 

The freezes could be related to a web site you are visiting that is blocking access to known VPN IP addresses.
