VPN & Amazon Prime

The other day I was somewhere else and signing into an unsecured network. So I turned on VPN at Norton's suggestion. This was the first time I have ever used it. When I got home I never turned it off. Later, when I turned on my TV none of the streaming services I use would work claiming I was signed in through a VPN or proxy. I turned it off on my phone. No help -everything (phone, TV, laptop) say I am still signed in through a VPN. I am trying to figure out if this is just some random nonsense or if, since my Samsung phone and my Samsung TV are connected this is some kind of issue with Norton.

Re: VPN & Amazon Prime

The VPN is tied to a specific device.

If you turn it on or off on one device it does not affect the other devices. Make sure you turn it off and make sure it does not reconnect automatically.

Sounds like you should try power cycling your modem and router to refresh your IP address.

Re: VPN & Amazon Prime

I figured as much. But Samsung devices are connected via smart things and can even network through the phone or tablet so I wondered if that might be the case. I had never had this issue before using it VPN on my phone, so I'm just reaching here. I have tried all kinds of things short of deleting Norton, even doing as the Norton techs suggested even tried turning it on, changing the region and then turning it off again. Nothing has worked. I am still unable to stream on my television or phone.

Re: VPN & Amazon Prime

I have tried that. I powered off both overnight. I even reset my router.

Seems to be no solution.

Thanks for the suggestions.
