I received an alert message saying that my installation had failed

I purchased AntiTrack today via my Norton account. I received an alert message saying that my installation had failed but my subscription says AntiTrack is active. I tried to install again but I am informed that "another installer is currently running. Please wait for it to complete and try again"  I assume this is the original installation that  has got fouled up somewhere. So I am stuck. How do I fix this?

The first suggestion would be to delete your installation and then restart your computer. Restart, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.

Then go into your Norton Account and click on the user icon at the top and click on Manage my Subscriptions. Find your Anti Track subscription and click on Download.  This time, be sure you restart your computer after the install to help ensure the installation can complete.

You might be able to stop the installation process using task manager. You can also try restarting your machine.
