I do not want crypto mining and I have not asked Norton to check my GPU. That being said I want Norton to completely stop checking my computers GPU. I want this to stop completely.

Have you recently ran Live Updates and gotten the 22.22.1.58 patch which removed Crypto?

I keep my Norton 360 updated thru the day. not sure what the build # is. Just updated again just now. I have not clicked the crypto join, nor do I want to. I just want them to stop checking my GPU for mining. It shows up at least once a week in the history. Kinda of intrusive to check my GPU don't you think?

You updated Norton but did you get the patch SoulAsylum mentions? The removes the ncrypt.exe file from your system and maybe some others that will affect the GPU checking. The history is still going to be there unless you clear it. Just keep an eye on it to see if it still does a check after the latest Norton patch.

22.22.1.58 does not remove the crypto button at all, nor does it stop the constant checking for GPU mining. I have connected with Norton chat he took control of my computer, long story short, he finally told me Norton does not check GPUs for mining (just a chatter no real tec person). Norton needs some qualified folks not just chatters. Norton needs to step up and allow the specific customers who do not want this to remove this option and checking option from the individual's computer. It appears chat is a waste of time.

Curious, have you tried to hide the banner like explained in the Announcement? Just curious, my machine is entry level. I guess if your box has viable GPU. Then Norton adds Norton Crypto options in Systray...like explained in the Announcement.
- Added Norton Crypto options in Systray
- Additional settings offering to hide crypto in My Norton
- Customers who opt-in to using Norton Crypto will have the feature installed on their systems

Had you activated Norton Crypto at any time? If so, that fact may override the changes others are seeing with this latest Norton Update removing ncrypt.
Have you checked your Norton History to see if the GPU check has been run since this latest update. Your images show the GPU check being done before the latest Norton update was released. The History items are not going to get removed unless you clear the History.

All: Even on machines that are NOT mining capable, the file NCrypt.exe was previously present in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Norton Security\Engine\22.22.1.58. With the latest patch the file is no longer there nor in any other directory in Windows.
The OP should, as a test, perform a "remove only" scenario with his Norton installation and immediately reboot. If the removal tool asks a second time to reinstall, they SHOULD NOT reinstall at that time and close the removal tool dialog. They should then, "manually" remove ALL folders labeled Norton and reboot again. Once done, reinstall their product from their Norton account, get the latest and ALL patches. Rebooting as each one has installed not reboot when no more are offered. Continue getting patches until none are offered and reboot yet again. Once the 22.22.1.58 patch has installed they should NOT click on the Crypto button if it is still present. It shouldn't be per the official release notes as this release had the purpose, among others, to remove it.

wow, never clicked crypto, hid the button, I am updated, no .exe file present, still checked my GPU after update, I stopped my auto pay.
When they fix this i may renew. I am not going thru the delete process, if so I will change vendor. It would not save my post a few minutes ago, funny

If you check your Norton History and choose Crypto Mining from the drop down menu at the top, what is the date of the latest entry there?
