Export Page does not give an option for formats to save

2 Current Issues with Exporting Password Vault

a). Export Page does not give an option for formats to save - Just Pulls up an HTML Page

b). Both HTML Page and older CSV Pages are not in readable formats.

Previous Password Manager Saved the Vault in easily readable and sorted format - Is there a way to do this in Norton PW Manager?

Re: Export Page does not give an option for formats to save

I have the same question.  I have gone through the steps to export the Vault Password data.  As Caribman has noted, export vault simply brings up a new page with no options for saving in any format (e.g. csv).  Right clicking the page only gives options for saving the page in html format, which is no good.

How can the vault data be saved in a format which is more practical and can be read by software such as Excel?

This problem needs a solution; it is not simply feedback.

Thank you 'Disorderly' - I thought it was just me - doing something wrong !. I saved my last 'Password Manager Export (anon)... it was saved (externally) and everything was organised by Title/Description/Subsection in Excel (in other words, EXACTLY as I had organised it). My only complaint with that Company is that they started to DOUBLE their charges at each annual subscription (whilst offering - at the same time - discounts for 1st time subscribers). With that App - I NEVER had an issue when I logged on to a site (as I do now)  Now 50% of the time I have to MANUALLY remember and add the Username/Password.  I even have this issue on my PC, but mostly on my Phone. I thought that since the PW Manager was included with my Subscription, 'why not ditch the previous PW 'Overpriced' Manager'  but now ?????

Caribman, I have looked at other solutions and here's a clunky way of saving your data as a .csv file.

Go through the steps to export your Vault data.  When the html page appears, select everything in the window (Ctrl-A) then copy (Ctrl-C).  Now open Notepad and paste the data in (Ctrl-V).  It will still look a mess.  Save the file as e.g. NortonVault_date.txt.  Now in windows explorer, right click the file and select rename.  Change the .txt suffix to .csv.  Now you should be able to load it into Excel and it will look a lot more like your data.

As I say it's clunky and I would much prefer that Lifelock Norton provided a more elegant solution.

As for renewal subscriptions, I cancel automatic renewal and find offers with magazines etc. which are waaaay cheaper than automatic renewals.

Hope this works for you, it did for me.

Wow - thanks for this 'Disorderly' - sounds like a Plan. Still, would be nice for Norton to take these issues on Board and run with them !  I still get Emails from previous providers trying to 'lure' me back....

Thanks again for the suggestions, I just tried  Brilliant !  (100% improvement)...
