How do I turn off the Norton popups?

Turning off "special offers" doesn't help.

This morning's was "What's the Secret? / Click here to find out" without anything indicating it's from Norton.  This is even worse because it looks like my PC has been hacked.

I get these popups in the middle of various activities, including delivering presentations.  IT'S EMBARRASSING!!!

I think my audiences are getting sold on NOT using Norton.

The solutions I've seen here so far don't work.  The software has to be modified.  The marketing staff has to be sacked.

What do I do until those things happen?  Do I have to cancel and replace Norton????

Why does Norton disrespect its customers?

Re: How do I turn off the Norton popups?

I just finished a chat session about this.. Long story short - First, under 'Administrative Settings', turn OFF 'Norton Task Notification' and 'Special Offer Notification'. Then, in CLASSIC mode, click on the magnifying glass in the upper right. Type 'NOTIFICATION'. This brings up several different notifications that can be switched off. These options are not listed under 'Administrative Settings'. This should finally turn off all pop-up notifications. The rep only told me about the second step after I thoroughly complained and threatened to cancel my subscription. He actually said he wasn't supposed to tell me about that (whatever that means). Hope this fixes the issue for everyone!

Have you tried Silent Mode when doing your presentations?

Did you turn them all off?  Thanks for the great/only help I have found.

Re: How do I turn off the Norton popups?

One final note:  The "What's the Secret?" pop-up comes from having Inpixio, a photo-editing app on my PC.  Like Norton, they continually try to sell me the latest version, which I already have.

I'll be communicating with them.

Many thanks to CCSmith81 for his helpful answer, which appears to be the solution.  Let's see if Norton pays attention to its settings.

Re: How do I turn off the Norton popups?

This doesn't work for Norton's "Report Card" notification. In fact, that doesn't even appear as a choice if you search for the term 'notifications.'

However, under 'administrative settings' (see classic view), there is an option to turn it off... but it doesn't work. For I just received a 'report card' notification despite having that toggled off.

(I'd post a screen shot, but this site doesn't all image files like .jpg or .png.

Re: How do I turn off the Norton popups?

Thanks for pointing out how I *already* have my settings (ie: with the 'report card' toggle off).

And like I previously said in my last point, I am *STILL* getting report card notifications with the report card toggle in the off position.

Amongst my practice after Norton install is toggle Report Card off.
I do not receive Report Card notifications with Report Card off.
Maybe, you found an unknown/unreported bug.

Curious, how often do you receive monthly Report Card report?

Again, you point out how I *already* have my settings (ie: with the 'report card' toggle off).

Again, you give me a link to set up my administrative settings... in the manner I *already* have them.

Again, I am *STILL* getting report card notifications with the report card toggle in the off position.

So far, I have received 3 report card pop-ups this month, roughly once a week. I do not want to see this happen again.
