Suddenly, my pasword manager won't log on and I get a message to go to an unknown site to reset my passcode. Did something recently happen that junked my credentials?

I have been using Norton's Password Manager for many years and it has always been there at the click of the icon.  Now, I get a note to go to this web address: moz-extension://68e1f043-db36-442d-a9c2-d49cc81112e4/content/ui/onboardSetup.html to setup the Password Manager, just like it has never been set up before.  I'm running Windows 10

I don't trust the link because I can't identify the site.  What's going on with my Norton?  Any suggestions for a safe reset?  Thanks in advance.

No need to reinstall 360 as the Norton Password Manager, NPM, is in no way related to 360. It is separate browser extensions that you can install and use at no charge, even if you never used Norton 360.

One possible issue is if you have the VPN feature active when trying to access your vault. Many users here have had to disable VPN to access their vault.

Try uninstalling the NPM extension from your browser, then restart your computer. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.

Then in the browser extensions manager, search for and reinstall NPM. Then test to see if things work correctly.

I'm pretty sure that is just the landing page that takes you to the sign-in page for Norton Password Manager.

If you are seeing the same page that SendOfJive posted, I too have been seeing that lately. Just click on Next by the Setup message and it takes you to the Norton Account Login page.

This login procedure is just poorly worded and set up. There should be a separate Login button.

Thanks, I hit the "next" button and it took me to the password reset.  I reset the password, but when I clicked on the Password Manager icon, it took me back to the same page.  I finally got it to try to connect and I got in a loop with a site labeled "Cloud Connect  Onboarding the Norton Way."  After about 5 minutes I turned that loop off.

The Norton Password Manager on my iPhone is still working with the original password. I need the convenience of the PWM on my desktop.  I've never had this much trouble with the app before. I suspect something in the last Windows update screwed up the system.  Should I delete Norton 360 and reinstall?
