secure vpn says connection unprotected when connected to my network

I have auto vpn turned on. It used to turn off when I was connected to my own network at home which is password protected. Now it turns on for my home network. Seems to have started this either after I upgraded to windows 11 or when I got back from a lot of traveling around the US. But when I turn off norton vpn (as it blocks me from certain sites) it then says my connection is unprotected. Does this mean my home network is somehow compromised or unsecure now?

If you are referring to the notation under the VPN feature in the My Norton interface, it is just letting you know that the VPN is not active to protect your connection. When you turn the VPN on, it changes to Your Connection is Protected.

This does not mean that all other layers of Norton 360 are not protecting you, whether you are online or not.
