Restore old 2018 Norton back up file on hard drive

I have a back up folder on a hard drive which dates back to 2018.  It has documents on it which I need. The back up folder was created using Norton and I have the ARestore Exe fiolder on that hard drive BUT it doesnt work. I have tried the solutions here https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v59650017

BUT it does not work.

Used this process but the norton program cannot find the back up folder I'm looking for. It isn't a current back up file on Norton cloud or currently being used on Norton. It is an old 2018 back up folder on an external hard drive. Using your process doesn't assist sorry as Norton cannot locate the back up folder at all.

Have you tried using your current 360 to do the restore? Be sure the hard drive with the backup has a drive letter assigned in Windows Explorer. Start the Restore process and in Restore From click on View All. Then look for that external drive in the list of Restore Sources. If so, select that and see if Norton finds any backup sets. If so, choose it and you should be able to choose the folders and files you want.
