Error message after uninstalling Anti-Track

After uninstalling Norton Anti-Track, I am receiving numerous pop-up error messages that there needs to be an app to run that file.  For the life of me I can't reproduce that error message.  It tells me to go to the App Store (Mac computer) or choose an app already on my system. What to do? when I get that error message to recreate itself, I will post it here.  I'm new to the Mac so not sure what avenue to take.  On Windows I know where to look. TYIA

Re: Error message after uninstalling Anti-Track

I finally got the error message to appear!  It states "There is no application set to open the URL nortonantitrack://sync-protected-state.  Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer."  Then I'm given three choices:  Search App Store, Choose Application, or Cancel!

Curious, did you uninstall Norton AntiTrack browser extension, too?

Message: "We're unable to communicate with your AntiTrack app" appears on Norton AntiTrack extension

Caveat: I do not run Norton Anti-Track.

Re: Error message after uninstalling Anti-Track

Yes, I already performed the steps provided.  However, I will reinstall and try those steps again.  Just today, when I opened my computer for the morning, there were approximately 20 of those error message windows on my screen.  I will work with this more.  Thank you.
