Is anyone else getting warnings from Norton 360 on their iOS about parrable.com

Is anyone else getting warnings from Norton 360 on their iOS about parrable.com? From what I can gather online it is a relatively new tracker for mobile devices. I am assuming Norton is protecting me but the app doesn’t tell me much.

If you were getting a warning on your iOS device, then Norton is protecting you from it.

Interesting point here is that bjm_'s link for removal instructions shows instructions for Windows, Mac, and Android. No instructions for iOS. Could be related to the information that there is no malware protection in Norton 360 on an IOS device. See this article from howtogeek . com for an explanation of why it is not necessary.

Yes, it was server-side that was the one attacked, not your local client.  That site has been taken down ....

I’m also getting the same warnings through the iOS Norton 360 app about h (dot) parrable (dot) com:443 on websites like CNN and Washington Post. Any word when the iOS Norton 360 app will stop IDing the threat, since the above posts say it’s been resolved?

@GregST

Looking at the post above yours, you will see that the link goes to a Malwarebytes article that notes that that website has been taken down. That does not mean that the links to that site have been removed from what is probably ads on the web sites you are visiting.

The 443 web browser message is good news because it shows that you were not taken to the malicious site.

Neither of these things can be changed by Norton. The messages will stop when the ads have been removed from the ad services being used by web sites.

Thank you for the information, how much of a threat does this pose to a fully updated iOS?

Repeated Trojan outbound block to h.parrable.com when I visit the WAPO site

Pardon the intrusion here. Just an FYI that the h.parrable.com is a server-side attack and not a local attack in the normal sense. Having a shortcut, bookmark, cookie, javascript, etc that references any of their links can trigger this.

See my post above with the link to information on how secure the iOS system is.
