No on/off option found for e-mail spam filter

Hi,

Granted, my e-mail client is antiquated but still functioning, Outlook 2003 on a desktop running Windows 10 Pro. I just purchased and installed the latest Norton 360 Deluxe as provided, and it generally seems to integrate fine with the e-mail program.

But the newly installed Norton e-mail spam filter is slowing incoming e-mails to a crawl (I have disabled Outlook's built-in spam filter so that would not appear to be a factor). I have not been getting too much spam recently, so I would like to at least temporarily turn off Norton's and try a thing or two.

But I can find no way to do that to this point, and support instructions are nothing like the settings screen(s) I am getting. There are filter options for configuring Address Book Exclusions, Allowed List, and Blocked List, and a Client Integration function. That is the total of what I see available.

I have been unable to locate anything else thus far, so any input would be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions.

I do not use the Norton Anti Spam features, but looking at the Anti Spam settings,  it sounds like you can turn off the Client Integration setting for Outlook.

While I greatly appreciate the response, I am not quite following it and not sure if you are referring to a Norton or Outlook setting. In Norton, and even though the anti-spam feature seems to be functioning in conjunction with Outlook, Outlook is not even listed anywhere in the Client Integration tab of Norton anti-spam settings (there are no clients listed). And if there is some sort of client integration feature within Outlook itself, thus far at least I have been unable to find such a setting. Thank you very much again for the reply. I really appreciate it.

I am talking about Norton Settings. From the classic interface, click on Settings > Anti Spam. Then click on the Client Integration tab, and the first option there is for integration with Outlook ( on my settings ). If yours does not show this, you will have to wait for an Outlook and Norton Anti Spam user to chime in here.

Thank you very much for the additional helpful information. I cannot say whether I am looking at the classic interface or not. But when clicking on the Client Integration tab, the only controls appearing for me are for turning a Welcome Screen on or off or whether or not a Feedback function is enabled. That is it. Yet a Norton anti-spam toolbar appears toward the top of the Outlook program and the function is operating. It is a baffler, at least for me. Thank you very much again.

Your Outlook 2003 may not show up in Norton Anti Spam Settings because it is EOL some time ago.

I'll leave you to others here that use Anti Spam on Outlook products.
