Reinstalled Norton: COMPLETE NEW INTERFACE

I recently reinstalled Norton 8.8 yet again. This last install had a different interface than all the previous ones. For instance Full Access Disc in system preferences no longer asks to be added to its list. This latest version has a new icon at top of computer menu and a new feature inside system preferences. Please see attached screen shots. Just wondering if anyone else has this version? it says 8.8. I'm running an iMac with Monterey 12.6. Thank you.

Looks like this is for the vpn.   Is the antivirus mode the same or different?

Yes, this interface is for the vpn. But it hasn't always been that way. This is the first time I've seen this type interface before. The antivirus or the scanning interface is still the same. It seems they have changed up the interactions on the vpn???? Like I said before, it usually asks permissions to install Norton and its system extensions within the full disk access system within system preferences. It doesn't do that anymore. Of course the technician I called couldn't tell me anything.
