LastPass Hacked for the Second Time in Six Months

The free password manager has already been hacked twice in 2022, and executives don't know what customer info was stolen

Re: LastPass Hacked for the Second Time in Six Months

Companies in the today world we live in are too focused on making the billions vice vetting their products BEFORE releasing them. Going ever further down the rabbit hole with inadequate personnel who create, develop their software.  Even care less about quality testing on a regular basis. Here in the US, we need to follow the EU and create our own GDPR. Australia is on the right track with mandatory fines of up to 50 million for serious breeches. Personally I believe it should be far higher, even if it takes the company off market just do it. We consumers, don't get anything other than the usual credit monitoring blah-blah-blah. OUR bar has to be extremely high to get compensation as we must show the breech has cause harm that is a financial loss. Its time government gets nails tough with the tech world. Floating around on an iceberg isn't cutting the mustard.
