Anyone else having issues with refunds, or NORTON saying they refunded, but nothing refunded

Has anyone else out there requested a refund, and then sent an email stating they had refunded you, but nothing has posted to your bank account in a timely manner, or AT ALL?

Peter web, you stated you’d escalate my complaint. I’m still waiting to hear back from someone. I was reading over the billing procedures that are implemented, and I’ll post them here. But it basically states that Norton will use payment information obtained, and if that doesn’t work, then they’ll “work with 3rd party companies” and continue to bill by obtaining payment information that’s outdated, so that’s like essentially theft by creating payments for services that aren’t due yet, and under no obligation to continue wanted services. Your scalping people, and hope they don’t complain too much. Well, I will because I don’t like seeing other people, and myself especially being ripped off. I’ll be sure to upload the payment procedures, since you don’t let a screenshot upload. I’ll make it a PDF.

These forums are peer to peer support. We are not employees of Norton. When we escalate a thread, the forum administrators have to forward the information to the appropriate department in Norton. The forum administrators are not on here 24/7, and may be in other parts of the world. So it depends on when they get the request on when the process can be started. Then when that department gets the request will depend on where they are geographically located and what time it is at that location. So you cannot expect any instantaneous reply from the appropriate Norton department.

FWIW!! I've asked for the attached PDF be removed as it contains PIA information which is not consistent with forums usage guidelines. Understandable frustration and then posting personally identifiable content, can lead to other issues as is it there for anyone visiting the forums to download. The holiday season is always not the best regarding companies and customer service. A company going through a restructuring only adds to that frustration. If any Guru posts they have escalated your issue, you can 100% count on that as has happened. From that point forward Norton has the ball, we here on the forums can only monitor and hope that someone Norton interjects into the issue.

Hello, I wanted to upload the payment policy stated in the “Legal” section of this website. Everyone, they’re trying to silence me, but I’ve been disputing this and I hope to get somewhere with it. I will post any new developments, and please keep this post alive and voice your thoughts and experiences.

That’s great! It’s been “Escalated” since 11/2022. I seem to be getting good feedback with this because I don’t like seeing people taken advantage of. Everyone, this is off of Norton’s “Legal” page, on their homepage. I encourage everyone to look at it, especially those with billing/refund issues that have been ongoing for an unnecessary amount of time. Thank you

Hello Soul Asylum (they were a good band!) I don’t understand what personal information you are saying. It’s just a copy of NORTON’S Policy towards Payments. There is no information about myself on there. I know that Norton LifeLock has people out in the forums to handle “heat cases”, I’m sure you’re one of them. Understand, this shouldn’t be such an issue with refunds. If people don’t want the product, and are upset by “Suprise Billing” then they have a right to be upset, and a right to know. I know that the standard operating procedure is just wait people out for awhile until they just give up. I will continue to advocate for those of us who don’t like being taken advantage of and essentially violated by Norton just freely taking money out of people’s bank accounts, even when the payment information isn’t up to date, but yet I was somehow charged. I know that the FTC is coming down on this practice, and I’m going to notify them soon, unless someone contacts me and compensates me fairly for all of the time and effort I’ve put into this. I’ll attach that Payment Policy off of Norton’s own Legal section of their website.

What proof of this do you have? Over the 13 years I have been here, I have never seen posts censored unless they contravened the forum rules. Posting information already available on the web site would not be cause for censoring. I have seen may examples of the gurus and other members here openly dissing Norton and those posts are still here.
