I can't backup folder with . (dot) in front of the name

I am trying to backup my .minecraft folder, but whenever I add it to my folder list, Norton incorrectly formats it, causing to break the path and not backup anything.

This is the path: C:\Users\mrmar\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config

Norton incorrectly formats it as: C:\Users\mrmar\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\config

How do I solve this without changing my folder's name? Windows supports the . (dot) format, so why doesn't Norton?
