Norton does not scan the files made by IDM & Absolutely useless contact support. If you close this topic I will send the document to other forums in internet.

Hi. When I use internet download manager to download files Norton antivirus does not analyze the file and inform it is safe or not. I tried to communicate with a customer service agent and she hang up on me after giving a fake number to call. If you attemp to close this topic and avoid helping me as you did to others in this forum I will share the communication details first here and then on the respectable cyber security communities.

Forum threads are closed automatically after 30 days with no new replies. It has nothing to do with whether there is a solution or not.

As for files downloaded by IDM not getting filtered/scanned, the other layers of protection would protect you as the file is first accessed. So you have no reason to worry.

Thank you for your response. Internet download manager can be a supported application, however, Norton does not scan the downloads made by IDM. It is possible for your related team to run the application by themselves and find out. I don't know what would do any good to call the customer support but I will. Please send me the customer support phone number for Turkey.

If you do not work for Norton its not your concern. Go on donating your precious time without bragging about it. Did you read how people treat others who acted in a gentleman manner while they are right? What a coincidence that is your kind of people do the shaming the people who are right on their course and honorable defender of the dignity of Norton outsourced work force. And also that number is a Turkish phone number.

as test: Norton Safe Web Enhanced extension > "Allow access to file URLs" enabled.  

With IDM Integration Module extension enabled.  Norton Download Insight does not provide notification.

Thanks for your reply. Norton Safe Web is the extension I have in firefox. All permissions are granted already. Does that mean it works backstage or does not work with IDM?
