How do I stop Auto Protect from blocking dlls i'm creating while developing programs?

I'm developing a program in Visual Studio and Auto-Protect is blocking one of the dlls that are created - "Auto Protect blocked this Heuristic Virus - no further action needed - Threat Name HeurAdvML.B. The 'reasons given - it's less than a week old (obviously! - I just created it!) and there are less than 5 users!. At the very least it should ASK before arbitarily removing a file! - even if I can restore it and set it to ignore.

Ideally I would just like to exclude the directory where the source code resides (and any subdirs).

As a developer, you need to create a master folder for all your projects. Then exclude that folder and all sub folders from Both items in the image below.
