Re: Parental control to newly added account in PC

Hi kallehint,

Thanks for reaching out to Norton Family Forum.

We recommend providing your child with 'standard user' account instead of Administrator. This would prevent the child from creating new user accounts.
Also, Norton Family would send an alert when a new user account is created.

Please follow the below steps for monitoring the newly created user account:

1. Login to the Norton Family web portal (https://family.norton.com/web/)
2. Select the child to whom you want to assign the user account
3. Click "Add Device"
4. Select the appropriate windows device and choose the newly created user account.

Thanks,
Norton Family team.

Re: Parental control to newly added account in PC

Thank you Norton Family team!

Actually I mean in the computer, already added as Device in family.norton.com/web.  My child's account is under control. But as he is in user rights and can create in running Windows new user account. This new account is not under Parental control automatically.

Is there possibility to set Norton 360 program to take care take newly (in same computer) added Windows user under control?

Thank you for feedback!

Re: Parental control to newly added account in PC

Hi kallehint,

There could be multiple user accounts in windows machine which could be shared between family members.
So, currently Norton Family do not monitor newly created user accounts automatically.

Parents must assign the user accounts to appropriate child profile using the Norton Family web portal for monitoring the user accounts. Hence, we always recommend providing your child with a standard user account in order to prevent the child from creating new user accounts.

Thanks,
Norton Family team.
