Trusted Devices

My account shows

Trusted devices

This is not a trusted device and then it says I have 40 trusted devices.....   I have no idea how to view the devices or even make a device trusted.   Can anyone help?

Re: Trusted Devices

I too got a message that the device wasn't trusted and there were 20 trusted devices. It gives you the option to delete them all but no option to list them. I would think that should be a high priority.

Re: Trusted Devices

Curious, when I read "Trusted Devices".  I'm thinking 2FA.
Caveat: I'm not Mac user nor use 2FA with my Norton account.
Sorry, if my thinking is off-base.

Re: Trusted Devices

@bjm_. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The trusted devices are a function of Norton as far as I can tell. When I log into Norton it asks if I want to trust this device. I often select yes however every time I open the app it requires me to log in so clearly something isn’t working as designed. I wonder if all those times I selected “Trust this device “ leaves an impression another device has been trusted…. Hmmmm

R U signing in from a browser or from Norton 360 UI?

IIRC > when I had Two-Factor Authentication setup.  "Trust this device" meant...I won't be challenged for second factor authentication when signing in to my Norton account from this device.  I was never able to get 2FA working when signing in from my Norton 360 UI...so, I gave up on 2FA for my Norton account.

I imagine "Trust this device" is held in a persistent cookie.  "Trust this device" works...my side...in the same browser session.  Meaning, I can Sign Out/Sign In 'my.norton.com' sans second factor challenge in the same browser session.
I'm not knowingly clearing cookies...closing/cycling browser appears to clear cookie holding "Trust this device"...my side.  Sign In 'my.norton.com' from new browser session.  I am, again, challenged for second factor.

@Kelly Renee
as test: 2FA setup + allow 3rd party cookies
testing on same device + selecting "Trust this device" on same device = 9 trusted devices

Re: Trusted Devices

fwiw ~ my testing was from Chrome...but, I'm getting same "exceeded the number" message from Edge & Firefox.  So, "exceeded the number" message is from Norton side.  IDK

Remove all  = This is not a trusted device
