Why does my laptop show up as not protected, inactive & offline, even though my account is active.

Norton 360 Deluxe. My device (laptop) is NOT being recognised or showing as active. Also, the download app is saying it's not a microsoft app, and it wont allow me to download it. The rest of my account shows up as active.   Thank you for any help or advice.

Hello Eileen. It sounds like your Windows account is restricting apps to the Microsoft store. Please check the following setting as shown in the below article. Make sure you reboot the laptop to make the changes across your Windows account and recheck.

You can then download the Norton product and install it directly from within your Norton account under subscriptions.

R U running Windows S mode? 

Windows S mode, you cannot install the regular Norton 360.
You need to install Norton UWP app from the Windows store.
Install Norton device security app from Microsoft Store
