You lost backup protection!

I had 12GB of backup with 5 of the 12 expiring. How do I get the - You lost backup protection! - message to go away? I still have 7 GB of backup so I don't want to just delete everyhing.

It would be nice if in addition to the Subscribe now button there was a Stop asking button.

Hi

Are you using Online Backup through norton360 or through NOBU Client?

Can you post a screenshot of the Alert window.

Re: You lost backup protection!

I am using Norton Online Backup and Norton 360 - full versions not the demo.

The demo version I had expired and is the one giving the error message.

The attached file is from today. - Update - I can't post a screenshot I get the error message

"Please correct the highlighted errors and try again.

  • The file does not have a valid extension for an attachment. txt, log, lue are the valid extensions."

Hi Zenwood

As you are using Norton360 you can do the Backup and Restore from within Norton360 itself, So please goto Add/Remove or programs and Features then uninstall the Norton online backup Client.

Re: You lost backup protection!

Uninstalling Norton Online Backup stopped the popup from appearing. So my problem is solved.

Is their any difference between Norton Online Backup and the backup as part of Norton 360?

Is it recomended to run only 360 and not both?

Is telling customers to uninstall software really the besta answer?

Both do the same Function. Norton Online Backup Client can be used for backup and Restore if you don't have norton360 installed.

You can use both. But if you've Norton360 its not necessary to install Norton Online backup, as Norton360 itself will do the backup & Restore Job.

Not at all Times. As I already mentioned, Norton360 can multitask (it can look after backup and the security Departments). Also it is alright to uninstall unless you are planning to renew it.
